AutoDVRconvert is a utility for your Media Center that can automaticly convert all your recorded TV files in dvr-ms format to other file formats. This will enable you to not only play your recordings on your Media Center or other Windows XP computers, but also on other computers. AutoDVRconvert comes with a filter to convert your recordings into MPEG2 format, but other filters can be easily made with GraphEdit (a free tool from Microsoft) so you can also convert to other formats.

Currently AutoDVRconvert will convert all the files in your Recorded Television folder as soon as the recording is ended, and you can manually select a file and convert it. A future version will have the ability to make rules and have the conversion done on a schedule. Another feature that will be available is the option to start the program with command line paramaters.
